FDA authorizes emergency use of four animal drugs for New World screwworm
The FDA issued four Emergency Use Authorizations for products requested by Elanco US Inc., Zoetis Inc., Bimeda Animal Health Ltd., and Sergeant's Pet Care Products LLC to prevent infestations caused by New World screwworm larvae in various animals. The authorizations follow a HHS determination on August 18, 2025 that circumstances justify emergency use.
